Eric Baker has been around
music his whole life. Coming from a music-loving family, he
began playing professionally in 1984 at the age of 17 when
he joined the U.S. Army, playing lead sax, keys & singing
lead for the 82nd Airborne Division jazz, combo & concert
bands. There he was able to play for numerous dignitaries
such as Vice-President George H.W. Bush and Bob Hope.
Picking up studio work along the way, he began playing jazz
in restaurants and other small venues, as well as traveling
regionally performing in Christian events and churches. He
played and sang lead for the Christian rock band Redline
until 1997, and then struck out on his own, self-publishing
a few well received releases.
Today, he is one half of the group Project518 and a Worship
Leader at his church. He continues to play jazz, do some
studio work, write songs and perform around the southeast. |
